Are you currently in the process of finding a car?
If you’ve been reading the site, you have an idea of my approach to car buying. It can be a lot of information to get through, and if you’re as busy as everyone else, you might not have the time to devote to applying all of the principles on this site to your purchase. That’s where I come in.
I can do all of the heavy lifting for you:
- Helping you figure out which car you want
- Finding cars which match your requirements
- Negotiating the price
- Having the car inspected by a professional mechanic
- Arranging the particulars of the deal
Some questions you might have:
Are you a broker?
No – I will be working for you to find a quality car at a great price. Brokers often work with dealerships and receive kickbacks for the customers they bring in. This can lead to conflicting interests that hurt you as a consumer.
What if I’m not satisfied with the results?
My guarantee is simple: if you aren’t satisfied, you don’t pay. I will do everything I can to make sure that you are getting the car you want before you make the decision to take it home.
Are there any restrictions on the types of cars you deal with?
Yes. I deal with newer cars – 1 to 5 years old only. I am most knowledgeable about entry level sport-luxury cars, but I can help with other vehicles as well.
What region do you service?
I am located in southern California, and am primarily available to help with purchases in the Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego areas. I am available to travel and provide remote consulting services in special cases as well.
What if I want to buy a new car?
If you want to buy a new car, I can point you in the direction of services which will help you with that. As you may have gathered from my posts, I am strongly opposed to purchasing or leasing brand new cars because of the heavy first year depreciation associated with them.
What are your rates?
My rate is a flat $750 fee per car. Unless you are buying a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you will be paying an additional cost for a pre-purchase inspection which is typically in the price range of $200 to $500. I don’t take kickbacks, so if you have your own mechanic that you want to use, that is perfectly fine.
If this sounds like a lot of money, consider what you are paying for:
- Expertise in buying quality cars at low prices, saving tens of thousands of dollars versus buying new.
- Dozens of hours and headaches saved by having me call sellers, do background checks on cars and send you a nice, formatted list of the best prospects.
- Negotiation skills which can easily save you thousands of dollars.
How do I get in touch with you?
The best way to get in touch with me is via e-mail.
Here’s an example of what you might say:
